• +1 Large Mithral Shield of Bashing
AC +3, Armor Check Penalty 0, Spell Failure 5%, weight 7.5 lbs, Considered a +1 silver weapon that does 1d8 damage when used to shield bash.
• Golden Lions: These figures are used in pairs. When the command word is spoken they become normal adult male lions. If slain in combat, the lions cannot be brought forth from the shield for 1 full week. Otherwise they can be used once a day for one full hour. They are released and return to the shield at the command of the wielder.
• Platinum Elephant: This is the largest of the figures on the shield taking up most of the shield’s center. Upon uttering the command word the elephant grows to the size and specifications of a true elephant. The animal created from the shield is fully obedient to the shields owner, serving as a beast of burden, mount, or a combatant. The elephant can be called from the shield only four times a month for up to 24 hours at a time.
• Copper Eagle: This image can become either a normal sized eagle, or a giant eagle according to the command word used. The transformation can take place once per day with a maximum duration of 8 continuous hours. However after three summoning of the giant eagle form the image loses all magical properties. The owl communicates with the shield’s bearer telepathically, informing them of all it sees and hears.
Created for the Knight, Sir Baldwin, Ket’s Rider of Destiny, by an elven prince he once saved. The prince told him that as long as the was honorable and true to his family, Sir Baldwin’s own family crest would always serve him. The Shield is large jousting shield made of Mithral with Sir Baldwin’s familial crest embossed on it in precious metals. At its lower center is a Platinum Elephant flanked by two golden lions, with a silver eagle flying over all of them.
